I am Elizabeth Davies, a Licensed Professional Couselor in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
My training and approach to therapy is eclectic and individually focused to your needs. I have been specifically trained to treat sexual problems, trauma, substance abuse, anger management and marital conflict. My personal approach is to help you identify what is standing in the way of you living your life according to your values, how to be present and functional in relationships and to learn tools and skills to help you manage your life.
I am certified by the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist (CMAT). I am also a Certified Anger Management Specialist Level II (CAMS-II) through the National Anger Management Association and trained through The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists as a Trauma Specialist to work with partners of sex addicts. I have extensive training and experience working with trauma, which includes complex and combat trauma
I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an evidence-based trauma technique used to access and process traumatic memories in order to find resolution and acceptance. I use this technique to help access memories that may be contributing to being stuck in repeated patterns of behavior that are causing distress and harm in your relationships.
In my previous career, I spent 26 years in the business world in marketing and international sales. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, gardening, going to antique auctions and spending time with my family.
